Luncheon - BC’s Climate Action Opportunity: The Role of LNG in the Marine Sector
November 3, 2021 (11:30 AM - 1:30 PM) (PDT)
Description
Climate change is a global issue that doesn’t recognize borders, and as BC and jurisdictions around the world move forward on climate action goals – solutions for hard to decarbonize sectors like marine shipping still remain elusive. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is one key solution this industry is looking to as it transitions to a lower carbon future.
Join us for a luncheon Wednesday, November 3 where FortisBC will provide a live, hands-on LNG demonstration followed by a panel discussion. Panelists include:
- Sarah Smith – Director, Low Carbon Transportation and LNG Business Growth, FortisBC
- Ian McIver – President, Seaspan Marine Transportation
- Nicholas Schneider – Director, ESG & Projects, Teekay
Space is limited. This is one event you won’t want to miss, we hope to see you there.
