Description
Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
Please join us for a very special After 5 event on Wednesday, September 27th at Harris Barn in Ladner presented by Fortis BC where Nathan “Kaanaax Kuwoox” Wilson will share his story with our members about his lands, his family and relations and the deep ties to the lands for generations.
For the past six years, Nathan has been the Indigenous Educator and Cultural Enhancement Facilitator for the Delta School District, sisiting Delta schools and classrooms to share his heritage, culture and knowledge.
