Jaap (pronounced “Yaap”) has 30+ years of experience in Engineering & Operations, Project Management, Quality Systems, Lean and Business.
His clients are mostly (but not limited to) Blue-Collar businesses: Manufacturing, Construction, Trades, Logistics, Food processing etc.
Problems his clients are facing: they are overworked and stressed-out, they can't keep up with demand, they suffer low productivity / profitability, they have problems with hiring / retention. Some want to work less or retire, or prepare the business for sale.

Jaap brings a practical and effective approach to helping his clients develop a clear future Vision for the business, identify current internal Weaknesses and implement a comprehensive Continuous Improvement (CI) program to improve Operational Efficiencies, Productivity, Retention and achieve broad Operational & Organizational Change.

His Change process is based on 3 pillars: Organizational Structure, Management Practices & Work Processes.

His ultimate purpose is to help Business Owners reduce stress, improve their work-life balance, and improve the Value & Sellability of their business. 

Jaap is married, has 2 young-adult aged children. He stays active with fencing, gym & swimming, running, bicycling & kayaking, he plays drums & djembe, dabbles in hobbies like wood carving & pottery and is an avid reader. He has served as volunteer Treasurer for community organizations and is a Volunteer Advisor with Catalyste+ working with entrepreneurs & community organizations in Developing Countries and with First Nations in Canada.
