The Surrey Food Bank is a non-profit organization committed to "Helping people help themselves". It has three other distribution centres. These are location in North Delta, Cloverdale and Newton. Since 1983 the Surrey Food Bank has been assisting low income individuals and families who live in Surrey and North Delta by primarily providing bi-weekly food hampers to supplement a client's food needs. All the funding comes directly from the community as the food bank does not receive any core government funding. Operations are overseen by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers and supported by an elected Board of Directors.
