Salish Sea Sentinel
We are all very proud of a publication, first published in 2004, that has become an authoritative voice for news about what is happening around the Salish Sea.
The Sentinel has a high rate of readership and great feedback from our eleven Coast Salish First Nations member communities as well as from people at all levels of government. It is a positive and trusted source of news and information.
While many readers prefer to access The Sentinel on their computers, phones and tablets and by reading the digital version of the magazine via our website, our leaders recognized the need to provide a high-quality print publication too. In early 2014, The Sentinel magazine was created after nearly a decade of publishing on newsprint.
We continue to focus on the main service areas of the Naut'sa mawt Tribal Council – governance, economic development, community planning, financial management and technical services – while celebrating the peoples and culture of the Coast Salish.
If you have a story to tell or news from around the Salish Seas, we’d love to hear from you. Our deadline for editorial and advertising is the 15th of every month.
